Questions & answers
Everything, in plain English.
What should I know first?
Common questions about Blue Dragon Coins: what a coin chase is, why disclosed odds plus a guaranteed real coin make it a product and not gambling, what EV per box means, how provably-fair lets you verify any pull, and how to check a coin's certification.
What is a coin chase?
A coin chase is a sealed mystery product: a box of real, often graded coins where the exact contents are revealed when you open it. Blue Dragon Coins publishes the full odds and a guaranteed minimum coin value before you buy, so a chase is a product purchase with a surprise element — not a wager.
Is a coin chase gambling?
No. Every Blue Dragon box guarantees a real coin worth at least $12, the per-tier odds are disclosed in plain text before purchase, and the product is framed as a numismatic repack, not a game of chance. You always receive a real, gradeable coin. This is a product purchase, not a bet, and outcomes are not financial advice.
What does EV per box mean?
EV per box is the chase's remaining pool value divided by packs still unopened — a fair read on what each pack is worth right now. When that number sits above the box price, the chase still favors the buyer; when a headline coin is pulled, the pool drops and EV falls. Deep Blue — Chase I opened at $67.07 against a $65 box, then fell to about $54.70 after the 1928 Saint-Gaudens was pulled on pack #042.
What is provably-fair, and how do I verify a pull?
Before each open we publish a hashed server seed; you supply a client seed and a nonce. The outcome is HMAC-SHA256 of those seeds mapped onto the disclosed odds. After the open we reveal the original server seed so anyone can recompute the hash and re-run the math to confirm the coin was chosen before the animation — never after. The odds shown before purchase are the exact odds used.
How do I verify a coin's certification?
Every graded coin ships in a sealed PCGS, NGC, or PMG holder with a certification number. Enter that number on the grading service's official cert-lookup page (linked from our Verify page) to confirm the grade, see the population, and view the slab photo straight from the grader.
What is the Vault?
The Vault is Blue Dragon's logged-in app. It tracks live chase math — EV per pack, tier depth, recent pulls — and the slabs you hold with cost basis and current value. This public site is the Glass; the Vault is where you open packs, manage your hoard, and verify pulls.
Where do I actually buy?
Live drops happen on Whatnot and fixed-price coins are listed on our eBay store. Blue Dragon Coins carries a 5.0-star rating across 3,540 Whatnot reviews and 100% positive feedback over 51,000 eBay sales. This website showcases and tracks the chases and routes you to those channels to buy.
Do I have to be a certain age to buy?
Yes. Purchases require you to be of legal age in your jurisdiction (18+, or 19+ where required) and may be restricted in some regions. Coins are estimates of collectible value, contents are non-refundable once a box is opened, and nothing here is financial advice.

The fastest way to understand a chase is to see one live — odds on screen, the reel, the reveal.
